Granny’s Cottage Language School is in Bray, Co. Wicklow, a historic town that nestles between the sea and the Wicklow Hills. Granny’s Cottage is a one hundred and fifty year old cottage set in its own rustic garden offering private and peaceful accommodation for those wishing to learn English outside the crowded classroom in a one to one situation with a qualified tutor.

As a small family run language school we can concentrate fully on the individual and their language needs. This means that you have the flexibility to schedule as many hours study as you wish. You can also determine your own leisure activities and excursions during the time you are not in class. We are not fitting you into a busy school schedule, each day is worked out with you and organised around your needs and requirement.

If your main reason for your visit is to improve your spoken English we offer you the opportunity to speak only English during your whole stay. You will experience a little Irish culture by sharing freshly prepared meals with us in in our home next door and accompanying us on excursions to sites of cultural and historical interest.

We also facilitate a range of learning and activity opportunities including horse riding,  archery, cookery, golf, digital photography, theatre, as well as historic house, garden, museum and art gallery visits.
